12:45 am - return home from SHiNDig. 1:15 am - set alarm for 7:15, go to sleep 6:58 am - Fire alarm goes off in building, scaring the bejeezus outta me. 7:05 am - manage to get second cat into cat box, and race downstairs. 7:06 am - building manager informs the huddled sleepy wrecks that some joker on the 16th floor tried to disconnect his smoke detector. 7:08 am - fire engines arrive.
As always, flashing siren lights make me feel nauseous. 7:14 am - re-enter building as firemen turn off fire alarm. 7:16 am - crawl into bed just as radio alarm goes off. grrr.
