The liberals have already proven that they have no love for unions, nor any respect for existing contracts, so I guess I shouldn’t bee too surprised.
It’s hard to fault the logic of the companies, but I can’t say that makes it right.
On one hand, I wonder how anyone can do such a thing, but on the other, until we live in a system where the bottom line of a company is not all that it is measured by, it will always be in publicly-traded companies best interests to pay as little as possible for labour.
Maybe we should do away with the stock market, or something…
