I would have thought that because I can’t ping or tracert my mail server, by IP or by NS, and as a result, can’t POP my mail, that I also wouldn’t be able to go to the web interface for the mail, which has the same name and IP address.

How does this happen?
What gremlins in the internet are interrupting POP and ping calls but not http?
