I’m becoming pretty-convinced that I’m fairly red-gree colourblind. I was using a CMS today (not my own), that used red & green ‘lights’ to say whether or not to publish something. I couldn’t really tell which was which.
So I decided to take a test.
As I suspected, I consistently responded to the test as someone who has red/green colourblindness would.
Not fully, as some I still saw as a ‘normal’ person would, but I certainly had trouble discerning the appropriate numeral.
So this thing, which I have suspected, has totally thrown me for a loop when confronted with this evidence.
How could I ever judge design from now on, as clearly, I’m seeing things differently than “normal” people do.
This also might explain why (this site being an exception) I never use green or red in anything, nor do I ‘like’ those colours. I wonder if this partially explains why I dislike christmas so much?
